A woman who admitted that she forged cheques and stole millions was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for the offences on Friday but she will only serve four years as the sentences will run concurrently.
Jasodhra Bahadur, 37, of 18 Block CC Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrate’s court and pleaded guilty to the charges.
