The Guyana Sugar Cor-poration is requesting a whopping $16b to stay afloat otherwise the state-owned corporation is facing an industry-wide shutdown come Sunday.
Stabroek News was informed that GuySuCo’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Rajendra Singh was tasked with providing a comprehensive breakdown of the money required to stave off an industry shutdown.
