Smashed! This Toyota 212 car smashed into a utility pole at Mandela Avenue on Saturday afternoon around 2.30. The pole which had a street light attached was completely damaged along with the entire front of the car. According to reports, the driver was returning from the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri after collecting his brother when he lost control of the car and slammed into the pole. Fortunately no one was injured. The driver was up to late yesterday afternoon in police custody. (Photo by Sharda Bacchus)
