Two Sophia residents were on Tuesday charged with robbing a couple of a quantity of valuables.
Sherwin Roberts and Chavez Alves, of ‘B’ Field, Sophia, appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court 1 before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, where they pleaded not guilty to two counts of robbery.
It is alleged that on June 7th, at the Kingston seawall, Roberts and Alves, while being in the company of others, robbed Alplonsina Sutton of a $70,000 cell phone. They are also accused of robbing Makilda Brown of a BlackBerry smartphone, a quantity of
