Not taking any chances….GT&T has erected posts around its telephone cabinet at the junction of the Railway Embankment and the University of Guyana Road after it was demolished by an errant driver last month. Telephone service was disrupted to about 800 customers on the lower East Coast as a result of the extensive damage done to the cabinet on May 31. Remedial work has taken weeks.
