Improved and efficient service delivery at the Deeds Registry is on the agenda of the new Minister of Legal Affairs and Attorney General Basil Williams. GINA said that the Minister visited the office today, where he observed that while a lot has been done to reduce incessant delays in the delivery of services, there is still some room for improvement.

A lot of the delays, hampering the delivery of services have been cut down substantially, because of the digitalisation of most of the functions carried out at the office, GINA said.

“From what I have seen, I think that we are on a path to making the delivery of the services, provided by this statutory body, something that one can find approval of for and be happy with,” the Minister observed. He said that he is confident that the work of the Registry has improved tremendously and will continue to be improved.
