The Miss Guyana World committee last evening announced that Guyanese songstress Lisa Punch has been selected to represent the country on the Miss World stage at the next pageant. Punch, who appeared on the US television network, ABC’s singing contest `Rising Star’ last year, is known for her strong vocals but not for pageantry. She was crowned by the reigning Miss Guyana World, Rafieya Husain. This official portrait of the new queen was released by the Miss World Committee yesterday.
