At about 2025h. last night, the police say that pedestrian Byron Persaud, 46 years, of Vryheid’s Lust, ECD, attempted to cross the roadway at Montrose, ECD, and was struck down by a motor vehicle. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the GPHC.
The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
