The University of Guyana (UG) has appointed three members of its academic staff to the status of full professors. Earning the accolades for the first time in more than a decade are Dr Abdullah Adil Ansari, Dr Raymond Jagessar and Dr Gomathinayagam Subramanian.
According to a UG press release, all three of the promotions became effective from June 19, 2015. Two will benefit the Turkeyen campus and the other, the Tain Campus, Berbice.
All three professors have pursued studies in the Natural Sciences. Dr Ansari earned his doctorate (PhD) in Life Science-Zoology from Madras University.
