Cops took bribe after Sheriff St accident, motorcyclist alleges

Godfrey Stewart

A motorcyclist said that he sustained three fractured ribs after a Tundra crashed into him on July 6 but the police have not followed up on the matter and he saw the driver hand over money to the cops at the scene.

Godfrey Stewart of Lot 72, East La Penitence said that he was riding on Sheriff Street when the Tundra came across the street and crashed into him. Stewart told Stabroek News that policemen on a motorcycle were in close proximity and came to render assistance.
