Ninety-six new medical doctors taking the Hippocratic/Physician’s Oath at the Arthur Chung Convention Centre last evening. The 96 men and women graduated as medical doctors after completing seven years of studies under the Guyana-Cuba scholarship programme. They began their studies in 2008, spending the first six years in Cuba and the last year being supervised by members of the Cuban Medical Brigade as they completed internships at hospitals and health care centres across Guyana.
