Defects on rehabilitated East Bank Berbice road to be remedied by contractor

Defects have been found in a 12 km stretch of the East Bank Berbice (EBB) road rehabilitated to the tune of $393.9M and the contractor has committed to rectifying the problems.

A release from the Ministry of Public Infrastructure yesterday said that the contractor for the road, H. Nauth and Sons, has committed to correcting all defective works before officially handing over the project to the Ministry of Public Infrastructure (MPI).

The contracting company had been hired to resurface 12 kilometers of the road between Everton and Mara.
