The proposed site for a five-storey multi-complex mall building, which would be located next to the Chinese Embassy on Mandela Avenue. The Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) is yet to decide on an application made by Jason Wang, owner of China Trading, to continue works on the site.
The application, which was sent to the CH&PA by the Mayor and City Council, is still awaiting approval, a source from within the Ministry of Communities said. Town Clerk Royston King had stated that permission was only granted for preliminary or foundation works to be done and further construction will have to be cleared by the CH&PA.
