The Zoological Park is expected to receive a major boost with the gift of some 15 animals including lions.
Minister of Governance Raphael Trotman said a “zoo to zoo exchange” with the Hyde Park Zoo in the United Kingdom will see four manatees being sent to the UK institution.
The arrangement, which came out of negotiations the National Parks Commission had with the UK zoo, would also see Guyana receiving $30 million, which is expected to go towards the rehabilitation of the zoo,
