Expensive race: A race along Aubrey Barker Road, North Ruimveldt by two minibuses yesterday morning ended badly when one knocked this taxi into the canal. The taxi driver told Stabroek News that he was in his lane when he saw the minibuses barreling toward him. He stepped on his brake as the one closest to him slammed into him, tossing his car into the canal. The second bus sped off. No serious injuries were reported.
