50th independence anniversary logo

The 50th Independence anniversary official logo, symbolising Guyana, the ‘Land of the Jaguar’ was revealed today, GINA said.

The Commemorative Commission for the 50th Independence Anniversary, at a special ceremony at the National Cultural Centre (NCC) this afternoon unveiled the image that will represent all aspects of Guyana’s Golden Jubilee celebration.

The logo is a roaring Jaguar superimposed almost on top of the figure 50.

Designed by Chris Taylor and Compton Babb, GINA said that the logo represents Guyana as a golden nation moving forward towards establishing itself in the countries of the world, in its next 50 years.
