Gov’t looking at investment proposals from diaspora in Canada – Trotman

The Guyana Government is looking closely at a number of investment proposals which were received by a team of ministers who recently travelled to Canada to meet with Guyanese living there, according to Minister of Governance Raphael Trotman.

“The team reported that it was rather overwhelmed with the number of proposals …which shows the high enthusiasm of Guyanese in the diaspora because persons travelled from the United States as well to attend so there is a high expectation of involvement and there are ready to come to invest so yes proposals were received and are being examined”, he told reporters at a post-cabinet press briefing yesterday.
