An elderly man was found lying dead in a pool of blood in his Linden home last Saturday and his son who was reportedly recently released from a jail in Suriname is the prime suspect.
The dead man has been identified as 83-year-old Andrew Reid of Canvas City, Wismar. Stabroek News was unable to make contact with the man’s relatives but according to Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum, when Reid was found there was a wound to his left side head from which he had bled.
