The Guyana Water Inc (GWI) today said that Chief Executive, Dr. Richard Van West-Charles at a community meeting organized by residents of Budhan Housing Scheme, Region Six yesterday, outlined a programme which will result in residents receiving water for the first time since the establishment of the housing development, which has been in existence for over 10 years. The scheme is located in New Amsterdam, East Berbice.
A release from GWI said that speaking to residents in the presence of Regional Chairman, Region 6, David Armogan, developers of the housing scheme and GWI Officials, Dr. Van-West Charles stated that he was concerned about the lack of water within the community especially with the large amount of families with young children.
