Rotary Club of Demerara conducts another medical outreach in St Cuthbert Mission

On 8th November 2015, members of the Rotary Club of Demerara conducted a medical outreach to another under-served rural area of Guyana. This weekend, the outreach was conducted at St Cuthbert’s Mission. A release from the club said that it was able to partner with volunteer doctors from the Ministry of Public Health (Drs. Watson and DeHarte), an optician from Ivor’s Optical (Mr. Osman Mac) and a dental team from Cheddi Jagan Dental School (Dr. Patterson -Skeete and   team). The releases said that the medical team was able to provide services to approximately 120 residents. It was identified that the most needed services were dental, oral health education and optometry services. Many patients were also hypertensive.

St Cuthbert mission is home to approximately 1500 residents.
