A few weeks ago, this column drew attention to the upcoming Paris Climate Summit (COP 21), which will be held under the aegis of the United Nations Framework Convention for Climate Change (UNFCCC) between November 30 and December 11 (UNFCC Paris 2015: the meaning of success. The conference is intended to bring together world leaders to produce an agreement that would reduce greenhouse gas emissions and limit global temperature increase to 2°C above pre-industrial levels.
In the above column I focused on the kind of agreements the conference must adopt if it is to be considered a success.
