Homeowner, bandit hospitalised after bloody NA home invasion

Supermarket owner Nicholas Harrinandan is now hospitalised after fighting off three men who invaded his Tucberg, New Amsterdam home early yesterday morning.

Harrinandan, 38, was chopped about his body during the attack and is now a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital.

He, however, was not only one wounded in the confrontation, during which he armed himself with a cutlass and faced off with the home invaders, who were armed with a shotgun and a cutlass. Police say one of the bandits, whom they have identified as Brian Dhanphat, 26, of Smythfield,
