Sparta Boss receives first place prize money, trophy

Street football team Sparta Boss was yesterday officially presented with the prize for winning the Guinness of the Streets Georgetown Championship at a simple presentation ceremony in the Banks DIH Limited boardroom, Thirst Park.

The East La Penitence unit walked away with the top prize of $400,000 and the championship trophy after downing Channel-9-Warriors 1-0 in front of the largest gathering in the event’s history in the grand finale on Saturday last at the National Park Tarmac.
