Mc Kenzie, Foster outstanding at AAG Cross Country event

The Athletic Association of Guyana (AAG) brought the curtains down on its 2015 calendar of activities with a Cross Country event on Sunday at the National Park.

Distance aces, Matthew McKenzie and Andrea Foster were the top performers in the feature 6km under-20 male and female categories respectively.

McKenzie of Running Brave Athletic Club completed the trek in 23 minutes and 29 seconds ahead of Mercury Fast Laner’s Troy Hestick (26m: 33s).

Foster (24m: 33s) of GDF, bested the Running Brave duo of Claudrice McKoy (24m: 36s) and Maria Urquhart (25m: 45s). Mearisha Carter (42m: 12s) placed a distant fourth in the event.

Six other categories of athletes competed in the last AAG organized meet of the season.
