During yesterday, the police say that the suspect in the murder of miner Shanti Solomon of New Amsterdam, Berbice, was arrested by police ranks at Piari Landing.
He is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
Solomon had been fatally stabbed at Puruni Landing on November 23, 2015, the police say.
