An Undulated Tinamou

An Undulated Tinamou (Crypturellus undulatus) at Buffalo Pond near Karanambu Lodge, Rupununi

The Undulated Tinamou is a greyish ground bird that is more frequently heard than seen, with its distinctive 3-note call.  They are commonly found near river forests throughout the Amazon and they feed on small fruits, seeds and insects.
