Mon Repos resident Rohit Persaud yesterday found himself in court on a charge that he wounded another man, while his lawyer claimed that he was being wrongfully prosecuted.
It is alleged that Persaud, 23, of Lot 775 Block 8 Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara, on January 22, 2016, at Mon Repos, maliciously wounded Michael Lane. Persaud pleaded not guilty to the charge after it was read to him by Magistrate Zamilla Ally-Seepaul
