Guyana-born, Canadian Football Hall of Famer, Alexander Bunbury recently called on Minister of Education, Dr Rupert Roopnaraine and discussed plans for a youth academy.
The Canada-based Bunbury has also discussed the plan with Minister of State, Joseph Harmon.
GINA said that Bunbury in his meeting with Harmon had outlined his vision for the `Alex Bunbury Sports and Academics Academy’.
The Academy is expected to boast state-of-the art facilities.
Bunbury was accompanied to the Harmon meeting by President of the Guyana Football Federation Wayne Forde, Alicia Nichols, Productivity Coach, Les Logston; Finance Consultant for the project, and Stanley Harmon, a New York- based Coach.
