Ming’s company outfits Yamaha Caribs

When the 2016 rugby season kicks off on Saturday, the Yamaha Caribs will be outfitted in new gear.

Club members yesterday received the crisp new apparel under the signature Yamaha brand, from Ming’s Products and Services Limited.

The presentation was made by Director of Ming’s Products and Services, Colin Ming Snr., at a simple ceremony held at the headquarters of the company on Urquhart Street.

In brief remarks, Ming stated that it is his company’s corporate responsibility to support not only rugby but sport in general and he was “thankful for the opportunity to stay onboard with them for 2016 and wish them the best of luck.

“We hope the support that we gave them will go a long way. I love athletes and I do make every effort to support athletes in Guyana,” he added.

2016 marks the 24th year since the company has branded and outfitted the Caribs.

Secretary of the Club, Walter George said the club was thankful for the 15s kit which comprised rugby shirts and shorts.

“Since 1992 Mr. Ming has selflessly been committing to the Yamaha Caribs and the rugby fraternity and we once again want to salute Mr. Ming for his.

“With our words we hope that we can continue to enhance youth and youth development in the sport,” he added.

This season scrums off in two days at the National Park with the Guyana Rugby Football Union 15s league involving the Yamaha Caribs, UG Wolves, Pepsi Hornets and the Police Falcons.
