The Motor Barge (MB) Sandaka has resumed operations, serving residents of Leguan, after undergoing repairs late last year, GINA said today.

Marclene Merchant, General Manager of the Transport and Harbours Department (T&HD) told the Government Information Agency (GINA) that MV Sandaka resumed operations, after successful tests were conducted by engineers of the department’s central workshop.

Approximately $33.4M was expended on infrastructural work on the motor barge which included works to the hull, the vessel’s frame, repainting of the rails and other parts, and fixing the decking plate, GINA said.
