A Valentine’s brunch was held today at the residence of the United States Ambassador to Guyana in aid of victims of abuse. Patrons donated gifts towards Help and Shelter for the benefit of the victims.

This event was hosted by the US ambassador’s wife, Rosaura Holloway, and was attended by Sita Nagamootoo, the wife of the Prime Minister among others. Mrs. Nagamootoo noted that while Valentine’s Day is usually seen and depicted for lovers, it is important that love, care and appreciation are extended to everyone. This brunch was seen as a perfect way to demonstrate that.
