GT Masters defeat GFC in Peter Lashley Memorial

Georgetown (GT) All-Stars defeated Georgetown Football Club (GFC) Masters when the Peter Lashley Memorial Football Match was staged on Sunday 4th at the GFC ground in Bourda.

Following a moment of silence, Chris Barnwell and Jerald Washington scored for the visiting team while Gordon Henry was on target for the home side.

The long serving GFC coach died on February 14th 2014 after being crushed by a truck on Mandela Avenue. Lashley also had a stink at the Western Tigers Football Club and was a player in the Masters division for the Bourda based unit.

A moment of silence was also observed during the GFC and Monedderlust FC in the Stag Beer Elite League on Sunday 15th.
