Nursery school child as Top Cop

Notwithstanding recent protests at Linden by relatives and friends of persons who have been charged with serious crimes including murder, armed robbery and rape and who have been agitating for the removal of Commander Senior Superintendent Calvin Brutus of ‘E’ Division (Linden/Kwakwani), the Division is forging ahead with its Community Outreach Programmes in keeping with the Police Force’s Social Crime Prevention Programme.

The Police today said that its Divisional Outreach Programmes have been gaining momentum through significant community support which have positively impacted on Police Community Relations, more particularly with youth empowerment through life skills development and the inculcation of good moral values.

Noteworthy is that today during the Children Mashramani Costume Competition at Mackenzie, Linden, a nursery school student (below) who was a participant was dressed as the Police Commander of the Division.
