The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) yesterday called for an immediate investigation to be launched into the conduct of a senior police detective, while claiming that there are audio and video recordings of him engaged in unprofessional conduct.
The party, in a brief statement signed by Executive Secretary Zulfikar Mustapha, named the rank but gave no indication that they had made any attempts to raise the issue with the Minister of Public Security Khemraj Ramjattan, Police Commissioner Seelall Persaud or any other senior police officers.
