Police urge relatives to formally identify dead prisoners

Six of the 17 prisoners who died on Thursday during the Georgetown Prison fire have so far been formally identified by relatives and the Guyana Police Force is seeking to have the others done in an effort of facilitate the autopsies.

Those identified so far are Sherwin Trotman, Anthony Primo, Andrew Philander, Randolph Marques, Dellon Williams and Jermaine Otto.

Therefore, the families of Kirk Clarke, Latchman Partap, Aaron Eastman, Rohan Teekaram, Hillary Amos, Rayon Paddy, Clifton Joseph, Shaka McKenzie, Chetram Dwarandat, Asraf Mohamed and Richard Hubbard are asked to visit the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Eve Leary or CID, Brickdam to formally identify their remains.
