Scotiabankers honour women educators

Scotiabankers throughout Guyana celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, 2016 with a number of initiatives to honour women during this week, a release from the bank said.

Staff from the Parika Branch honoured past and present female educators in their community at a simple ceremony. They were Ms. Kathleen Armstrong former HM of Stewartville Secondary with 37 years of service; Ms. Marilyn Cameron former Head Mistress of Uitvlugt Primary School with 34 years of service; Ms. Ebun Grogan Assistant Mistress of Greenwhich Park Primary School with 24 years of service; Ms. Hemwanti Mohan Senior Mistress of Meten Meer Zorg Primary School with 26 years of service; Ms. Jennifer Mohabeer Class Teacher of Uitvlugt Primary School with 23 years of service; Ms. Rohini Dujai Class Teacher of Farm Nursery School with 25 years of service; Ms. Patricia Amsterdam playschool proprietor with 40 years of service; and Ms. Bibi Persaud Assistant Mistress of Greenwich Park Primary School with 12 years of service.
