Manatee pond hit by drought

The watermarks on the walls of the manatee ponds in the Botanical Gardens show the drastic reduction of the water as a result of the ongoing El Nino dry weather. It was clear that the manatees found it difficult to go near the walls of the pond to be fed since at certain places the water was shallow and the mud at the bottom of the pond was almost visible.
