A gold miner was killed in a freak accident on Sunday afternoon after a blade, which was being sharpened by his uncle, snapped broke and slashed his neck.
Dead is Darren Wade, 29, of Lichfield, West Coast Berbice (WCB).
The incident occured around 12:45 hrs on Sunday at Aranka Backdam, Cuyuni River. Darren Wade was slashed to the neck, while his uncle Floyd Wade sustained cuts
