Led by man of the Match Christopher Barnwell the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) strolled to another Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA), GISE, Trophy Stall and Star Party Rentals first division two-day title after securing first innings points against the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Sunday at the Georgetown Cricket Club ground Bourda.
After knocking over GDF for 160 in their first innings thanks to Barnwell (3-36), left-arm spinner Totaram Bishun (3-38) and seamer Paul Wintz (2-19), DCC piled on 302 in their first innings to gain a lead of 142.
West Indies Under 19 World Cup winning wicket-keeper Tevin Imlach, scored 73 while Wintz returned with bat in hand to chip in with 49.
