30% of Kitty Market rehab works completed

30% of works on the Kitty Market have been completed, according to acting City Engineer Ron Eastman.

Eastman told reporters during a press briefing yesterday that works on the eastern wing of the market are 75% completed, with general rehabilitation, including replacing the floors, windows, roof and walls, as well as painting done.

He added that works on the western wing have begun but an adjustment to the design and difficulty in procuring the right materials have resulted in some delays.
