Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo recently visited the Whim Kali Temple and met with Chief Priest Harry Ramdeen and members of the Temple Trust, GINA said.
The Prime Minister, who was accompanied by his wife Sita was greeted on his arrival with drums and chants.
A native of Whim, the Prime Minister joined in a brief ritual in tribute of Mother Kali, after which he told devotees of his roots in Whim. He expressed pride, in what he described as his “Madrasi ancestry.”
