On April 27, 2016, the Ministry of Natural Resources commenced the second initiative under its “A Clean Environment” Project by providing support to Bartica, Essequibo, Region 7. A release from the Ministry today said that Bartica was selected as the first of the new towns set to benefit from this initiative.
