Red Thread protest against Lawrence continues: Nearly seven weeks since Red Thread’s declaration to persist with protest action until Minister Volda Lawrence is removed from her social protection portfolio, the group yesterday continued its action outside the Ministry of the Presidency.
The protest stems from a comment made by the Minister referring to several accusations of child sexual abuse levelled against a then APNU local government candidate (now elected Councillor), as a “family matter.”
