On Sunday May 8, 2016, the Academic Working Group of the National Commemoration Commission (NCC) in collaboration with the Indian Commemoration Trust hosted a presentation at the Indian Monument Garden, Church and Camp Streets, which celebrated the intellectual brilliance of Rabindranath Tagore, a release from the NCC said.
In 1913 Tagore was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature for Gitanjali.
