Chinese entrepreneurs present garbage bins to city

The municipality of Georgetown on Monday received twenty bins from the Association of Chinese Entrepreneurs.

Mayor of Georgetown, Patricia Chase-Green received the bins on behalf of the Georgetown Municipality.

Chase-Green said that the Council is grateful for the co-operation of the business community in the Council’s Solid Waste Management Programme.

The bins, according to  a council release, would be placed at strategic locations in central Georgetown.

Chase-Green said  that the Council has been working to restore the integrity of the environment and the gesture of the business community plays a significant role in helping the Council to achieve this objective.
