Relief for Little Diamond: Three weeks after the koker door at Little Diamond, East Bank Demerara refused to open, causing the buildup of water around the community, the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority yesterday installed a pump to assist with getting water over the broken koker door. The contractor’s hymac which was hired to replace the door of the koker can be seen in the background. The deployment of the pump follows a report on the situation in Monday’s Stabroek News.
