Yoga Day: Scores of persons gathered yesterday at the Everest Cricket Club to celebrate and participate in the Second International Day of Yoga which was organised by the High Commission of India in collaboration with the Brahma Kumaris, Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha, Guyana Islamic Forum, Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, the Inter Religious Organisation and the Viraat Sabhaa of Guyana.
The High Commissioner of India to Guyana, Venkatachalam Mahalingam spoke about the importance of Yoga to everyday life and took part in the demonstration. Photo shows one of the Yoga positions being demonstrated.
