Media delegation heads to China

Eighteen representatives from the State and privately owned media houses and Government Communications Officers will be in China for three weeks, GINA said. They are attending the 2016 Seminar for Media Officials and Journalists hosted by the Government of the People’s Republic of China, July 13 – August 1, 2016.

At a meeting today with Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo, the delegation was urged to be good ambassadors and represent Guyana with dignity and purpose.

The delegation comprises; Beverley Alert, Macalia Santos and Kennyann Bacchus from GINA, Nigel Williams and Rabindra Rooplall from the Guyana Chronicle, Marcey Parker, Paul Moore and Mark Watson from NCN, Julia Johnson from Prime News, Iva Wharton from Capitol News, Nyjel Fraser from HGPTV, Gordon Moseley from News Source Guyana, Maxwell Thom of Wcig 93.1 Real FM, Bhisam Mohammed from Guyana Times – TVG, Janelle Williams from Dave’s TV Station, Nicole Telford from the Office of the Minister of State, Breeanka West from the Ministry of Public Security and Vindiya Tumeshwar from the Ministry of the Presidency.
