Fire guts Ogle apartment complex

An early morning fire yesterday gutted an apartment complex at Ogle, East Coast of Demerara, leaving seven persons in search of new homes.

The fire began sometime between 6.30 am and 7 am in one of the apartments located in the Lot 34 South Railway Line, Ogle property.

When the fire started, Stabroek News was told, neighbours responded immediately and assisted in removing furniture and electrical appliances from the building. The fire service responded approximately 15 minutes after being summoned and battled the fire.
