A match-winning knock from Barbados skipper Shaquana Quintyne steered her side to an easy 49-run win over hosts Guyana when round two of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Women’s Regional T20 tournament continued at Providence yesterday.

The West Indies player Quintyne, who was later adjudged MVP, played a true Captain’s knock with her unbeaten half-century, a 42-ball 62 with a pair of fours and sixes which was the foundation of her team’s 140-6.

Shamilia Connelly scored 19 and shared a 45-run stand with her skipper as Guyanese pacer Erva Giddings continued her form with the ball to bag 2-34.
